I read a book entitled: "Living with Kidney Dialysis" by Adams Richards, and its very inspirational book. it tells his story on how he deals his illness, the ups and down during dialysis and all the best and worst experienced from living his dialysis life. I strongly recommend this one, this might help you and inspire you at the same time.
And the video below is about a child taking dialysis, She is being bullied at her school because of the hole in her neck. It inspire me to keep on living with my treatment seeing how this youngster tries to live a normal life while having dialysis treatment.
The original Description of the video:
Danielle & I made this video about her renal failure for her 3rd grade class to better understand what she goes through during dialysis. She has been getting bullied, yes, bullied because of the central line in her neck (some kids say it's disgusting or "Ew, you have a stick in your neck") and because of her small stature. She's 8 & she's the size of a 5 year old. The kidneys regulate the growth hormones. Danielle has remained upbeat about her kidneys & we are waiting for a donor as her Dad & I aren't a blood match to her. She's such a positive kid & lots of adults could learn a thing or two from all the kids at the dialysis clinic. This video could also teach other kids who may are facing the prospects of having to go through dialysis in the future to see that it isn't quite so scary.
